This information session is designed to support providers to get ready for the National Disability Insurance Scheme that will commence in your area from 1 October 2017 (Inner Gippsland) to 1 January 2019 (Outer Gippsland).
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers in Australia.

You do not need to attend for both modules, you may attend based on your special interest area. The session is delivered in 2 modules:
1. Allied Therapy- 9am
- Overview of the NDIS and the participant pathway
- NDIS registration process and provider pathway
- Service agreements, service bookings and payment requests
- Reasonable and Necessary Decision Making
- Allied Health reporting
2. Access and Preplanning for Psychosocial disability- 10am
- A person may meet the access requirements to become a participant of the NDIS up to 6 months prior to roll out date
- Helping your customers understand how to access the NDIS and what information might be required
- Functional impact considerations
- How you can support customers with Pre-Planning
