Kim was supplied with a lightweight Quickie Q7 manual wheelchair.
This is what Kim says...
My experience with Access Rehab has been really good. Every time I go to Access, they are wonderful at providing advice. They teach, listen and work through a problem with you all the way to the end.
It’s been a while in the process, but above all, we achieved the outcome, which was a satisfactory chair that keeps me independent and mobile. I can go out in public, and I can enjoy the activities that I used to do and can get it in and out of my car.
Parts of the chair that were especially important to me included a cup holder that could be put on and off so that I could carry hot drinks. There’s also a bag installed underneath so I can put various equipment in it. I also had some side laterals specially made to keep my leg within my chair and stop it from hitting the wheel or pressing against the leg rest, which could cause pressure injuries. This will mean I can hopefully abate any pressure issues and relieve myself from visiting the hospital.
My new chair will make a significant improvement in my mobility and day to day life. Access Rehab has played a part in my future health, well-being, and mental happiness, which I appreciate.
